About Us

Govt. Polytechnic Mirzapur

Government Polytechnic Mirzapur, established in 1964 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, stands as a cornerstone of technical education in the region. Offering five three-year courses in Diploma Engineering Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Production), Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology—it has been a pioneer in nurturing engineering talent for decades. In 2022, the institution introduced a cutting-edge one-year course in Post Graduate Diploma in "Data Science and Machine Learning," showcasing a commitment to contemporary and evolving fields. Situated conveniently on National Highway No. 7 (Rewa Road), merely 1 km away from Mirzapur Railway Station, the institution enjoys a strategic location accessible to students from various regions. The institution has a strong academic heritage having an envious track record of placement with major companies in India. A dynamic, industrious and prudent Principal, along with highly efficient and effective team of faculty members, leads the college. 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. (Daily Excluding Sunday & Other Holidays.)

Teaching method

Teching methodology includes class room teaching, Practical Lab Sessions, Field Exposure, Industrial Tour, Seminar, Project Work & Expert Lecture.

Sessional Exam & Assignment

Three Sessional Exams Each Semester & Five Assignments are given to students to test & develop skill of subject.

Attendance Requirement

80% attendance is must in all subjects (Attendance Through Biometric System).
